HOW TO SET UP A BLACK FRIDAY SALE!

TURN YOUR CRM INTO A BLACK FRIDAY SALES MACHINE!

Black Friday is one of the biggest opportunities for detailing businesses to attract customers, sell discounted services, increase gift card sales, and generate more revenue. But running a successful sale takes more than simply announcing a discount. You need a clear offer, an easy purchasing process, and a follow-up system that helps turn interested customers into paying customers.

In this Sudsy CRM feature video, Andrew St-Pierre walks you through building a complete Black Friday campaign using forms, automated emails and text messages, customer tags, trigger links, and purchase tracking.

STEP 1: CREATE YOUR BLACK FRIDAY OFFERS

Before launching your campaign, decide what you want to promote. Think about the services and products your customers would be excited to purchase.

Some offer ideas include:

  • 💎 Discounts on Paint Protection Film (PPF)

  • 🚗 Special pricing on window tinting

  • ✨ Discounts on detailing packages

  • 🎁 Discounted gift cards in different amounts

  • 💰 Exclusive deals for customers who sign up early

For example, you could offer 15% off window tinting, a special PPF promotion, or discounted gift cards. Choose offers that make sense for your business, services, and profit margins.

The goal is to create offers that are attractive to customers while making it easy for them to understand exactly what is available.

STEP 2: BUILD AN EARLY-ACCESS SIGN-UP FORM

One of the most important parts of your Black Friday campaign is collecting interest before the sale begins.

Inside Sudsy CRM, create a form called “Black Friday Opt-In.” Include fields for the customer's first name, last name, phone number, and email address. Make the necessary fields required so you can identify each person and contact them about the upcoming promotion.

Add a clear message such as “Sign Up for Black Friday Sale Notifications!”

You can then share this form through your email newsletter, text messages, social media, or website before Black Friday arrives.

Instead of sending a sales message to everyone immediately, invite customers to sign up if they want early access to your deals. This helps you identify the people who are already interested in purchasing.

STEP 3: CREATE YOUR BLACK FRIDAY ORDER FORM

Next, build the form customers will use to purchase your promotional products or services.

Inside Sudsy CRM, create a Black Friday Order Form and configure the products, payment options, contact details, and offers you want to sell.

For gift cards, you can create individual options for different values, such as $50, $100, $150, and $200, with your chosen discount applied. For services such as tinting, PPF, or detailing, you can direct customers to a service request form or provide the details on your Black Friday landing page.

You can also use conditional fields to make the form easier to complete. For example, selecting a gift card offer can display the relevant product options, while selecting a vehicle service can reveal fields for the vehicle's year, make, and model.

This creates a more organized buying experience and helps customers provide the information you need.

Important: If customers pay through the order form, you can track purchases and use that information to stop sending them unnecessary promotional reminders. If you sell gift cards that need to be issued manually, set a clear fulfillment timeframe and create a process for delivering them after purchase.

STEP 4: CREATE A BLACK FRIDAY LANDING PAGE

Your offers need a place where customers can learn about the sale and take action.

Create a dedicated Black Friday page on your website or build a landing page through your funnel. Clearly display the offers, explain the conditions, and include the appropriate links or forms for purchasing products and requesting services.

Keep the process simple. Customers should be able to understand the deal and find the next step without searching through multiple pages.

STEP 5: SET UP TRIGGER LINKS AND CUSTOMER TAGS

Sudsy CRM trigger links help you track customer engagement. Create separate links for your early-access sign-up and your main Black Friday sale page. When a customer clicks a tracked sale link, the CRM can identify that engagement so you can follow up with interested customers differently from people who have not clicked.

You can also create tags such as:

  • 🏷️ Black Friday 2026 Early Opt-In

  • 🏷️ Black Friday Sale Click

  • 🏷️ Black Friday 2026 Purchase

These tags help organize your contacts and make it easier to build targeted workflows. For example, customers who sign up for early access can receive a different message from customers who clicked the sale link but did not complete a purchase.

STEP 6: AUTOMATE YOUR EARLY-ACCESS MESSAGES

Once your forms and tags are ready, create a workflow that sends early-access messages automatically. In the example shown in the video, Andrew schedules an early notification for November 26 at 5:00 p.m. and the main Black Friday promotion for November 27, 2026. Adjust the dates and times to match your own campaign.

The workflow checks whether a contact has the early-access tag before sending the appropriate message. The early-access message can include the customer's first name, your business name, and the tracked link to the sale.

You can send an SMS, an email, or both, depending on your communication strategy. Use drip mode to deliver messages in smaller batches rather than sending everything at once. The video demonstrates examples such as sending five messages every five minutes. Set suitable delivery windows in your workflow so customers do not receive promotional messages too late in the evening.

STEP 7: SEND THE MAIN SALE EMAIL TO YOUR CONTACT LIST

Your early-access campaign is only one part of the strategy. You can also create a workflow for your broader eligible customer list.

Schedule the main sale email to introduce your offers, explain how customers can purchase, and direct them to your Black Friday landing page or order form.

Personalize the message where possible, and use a tracked link so you can identify contacts who show interest. Sudsy CRM can then help you separate customers who clicked the link from those who did not.

This allows you to build a more targeted campaign instead of treating every contact the same way.

STEP 8: TRACK PURCHASES AND STOP UNNECESSARY PROMOTIONS

Tracking purchases is just as important as sending promotional messages.

Set up your workflow to recognize qualifying orders submitted through your Black Friday order form. When a customer purchases, apply a purchase tag and remove them from the follow-up path intended for people who have not bought.

This prevents customers who have already purchased from continuing to receive messages urging them to buy the same offer.

The workflow can separate contacts into three useful groups:

  • Clicked but did not purchase: These customers showed interest and may benefit from a reminder.

  • Did not click or purchase: These contacts can receive the general campaign email if they are eligible.

  • Purchased: These customers should be excluded from unnecessary sales reminders.

Check that your order triggers, tags, and workflow conditions are configured correctly before publishing the campaign.

STEP 9: FOLLOW UP WITH INTERESTED CUSTOMERS

Sometimes customers click a promotion but do not finish their purchase. They may need more time, have a question, or simply forget to return.

The video demonstrates scheduling a follow-up for November 29 for customers who clicked the Black Friday sale link but did not purchase. The workflow can send these interested contacts a targeted SMS reminder and then follow up with an email.

Keep these messages relevant and helpful. For example, remind customers that the offer is ending, link directly to the sale, and invite them to contact your business if they have questions.

Avoid sending unnecessary SMS messages to your entire contact list. Focus text reminders on people who have shown interest, and respect customer consent and applicable messaging requirements.

STEP 10: GET NOTIFIED WHEN A CUSTOMER PLACES AN ORDER

You can also create a separate workflow that triggers when the Black Friday order form is submitted.

Configure an internal notification email to your team that includes the customer's name and the selected offer. This makes it easier to identify new orders and take any required next steps.

You can review the order details in Sudsy CRM and add notes if needed. If a product or gift card requires manual delivery, use your internal notification as a reminder to fulfill the order within the timeframe promised to the customer.

STEP 11: MAKE YOUR FINAL-DAY FOLLOW-UP COUNT

Do not overlook the final day of your campaign. Andrew emphasizes the importance of the last-day email and text message as potential sales drivers.

Use your workflow to send the appropriate final reminder to eligible contacts, while excluding customers who have already purchased. You can also use the early-access tag to identify people who expressed interest before the sale began.

A clear reminder, an easy-to-follow purchase link, and a well-timed message can help customers make a decision before the promotion ends.
